Choose this service option if you're a first-time client or haven't had a massage in over 12 months at our clinic.

During your first visit, a comprehensive clinical assessment will be conducted to determine if there are any structural or mechanical injuries and/or dysfunction present. This assessment is crucial in identifying the underlying physical structures that may be causing pain or dysfunction.

The initial assessment and client interview typically require approximately 15-20 minutes of your scheduled appointment time. For instance, if you booked a 60-minute massage, then 15 minutes of that time will be allocated to the assessment. 

It is advisable to book additional time for your first visit to ensure that you receive the full hands-on treatment time that you are looking to receive. This allows for a thorough evaluation and customized treatment plan to address your specific needs effectively.

Initial Assessment + Massage (New Client)

Relaxation Massage

Deep tissue massage involves the skilled application of sustained and steady pressure to target the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. This technique is specifically designed to reduce muscle tension, release scar tissue, and improve range of motion.

Deep Tissue Massage

Sports massage is a technique tailored to focus on area-specific rehabilitation. This brief but effective treatment is performed with the client’s clothes on, and it is advised to wear loose-fitting and comfortable clothing. The session involves joint mobilizations, integrated stretching techniques, and basic lymphatic drainage techniques to provide consistency in training as well as prevent injury.

Sports Massage

Cupping Massage is an alternative therapy technique that utilizes negative pressure to create a vacuum, which lifts the skin into plastic cups, thereby separating the fascia layers. Through this vacuum pressure, cupping therapy facilitates the breakdown of damaged tissue, promoting healing and accelerating the recovery process. 

FYI: Cupping therapy is used in conjunction with massage therapy and is used for approximately 5-15 minutes.

Percussive Massage is a technique that involves the rapid and repetitive application of pressure into the muscles of the body, with the use of our Theraguns (massage guns). 

This unique approach combines amplitude, frequency, and torque to deliver a targeted stimulus of pressure and vibration to the tissues, resulting in pain relief, improved movement, and enhanced recovery. 

By leveraging the science behind these essential factors, percussive therapy provides a comprehensive approach to address muscle discomfort, optimize physical performance, and facilitate the recovery process.

FYI: Our Practitioners use their Theraguns in conjunction with massage therapy and are used for approximately 2-15 minutes.

TMJ massage is a specialized technique that targets the internal and external muscles of mastication (chewing muscles) to release tension and promote relaxation in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). This type of massage utilizes gentle fascial release techniques, jaw mobilizations, and active movement of the TMJ to help alleviate discomfort and restore the optimal functioning of the jaw.

TMJ massage focuses on addressing the muscular imbalances and tension in the jaw area to promote relaxation, improve jaw function, and relieve discomfort associated with TMJ disorders.

Please be aware that obtaining special consent is mandatory before a TMJ massage can be initiated. To facilitate this, a consent form will be promptly emailed to you upon booking this service option.

Prior to receiving the treatment, expectant mothers have two choices for positioning during their massage session. The first option is to lie on their side with strategically placed pillows that provide optimal support and comfort. The second option is to utilize our patented pregnancy cushion that is specifically designed to offer unparalleled support for pregnancy massage, effectively alleviating discomfort associated with breast sensitivity and lower back pain. 

Prenatal massage provides a safe and effective way to support the unique needs of pregnant women, helping them to relax and rejuvenate during this special time.

Prenatal Massage

Infant massage is a gentle and rhythmic massage technique. It is a specialized form of touch therapy designed for infants aged 0-2 years. 

Infant massage aids in relaxation and can be particularly helpful in alleviating discomfort associated with common issues like colic, gas, or teething. It may also contribute to improved circulation, digestion, and overall muscle tone. 

The calming effects of massage often extend to sleep patterns, potentially assisting in the establishment of more regular and restful sleep for the infant.

FYI: Parents/guardians are invited to join the session. Your massage therapist will provide instructions on techniques that you can practice at home with your precious little one.

Note: For first-time appointments booked for less than 30 minutes, a massage may not be included.
