A doctor’s note is not required for chiropractic coverage; however, a doctor’s referral may be needed for massage therapy coverage. Before receiving massage therapy, it is important to check with your insurance provider to see what your insurance policy covers. 

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free process, we recommend calling your insurance provider to confirm specific requirements for massage therapy coverage. This will help you understand your policy and the steps needed for reimbursement or direct billing of your services.

Personal Health Insurance

We offer direct billing services to members of the RCMP for their massage therapy and chiropractic needs. In order to avail of these services, RCMP members will need to obtain an annual doctor's prescription to avail of the massage therapy services in their healthcare plan. This prescription serves as proof of the need for massage therapy and allows us to directly bill their insurance provider for the services rendered. This process eliminates the need for members to pay out of pocket and then seek reimbursement, making it a more convenient and streamlined experience for them. 

If you would like the clinic to direct bill, please ensure to provide the following information when you arrive at your initial appointment:

•  Identification number (beginning with the letter "R")
•  Physician's name
•  Date of your doctor's referral 

With our direct billing services, RCMP members can receive the treatment they need and have the costs covered by their insurance.

RCMP Health Insurance

We are proud to offer direct billing services to our veterans. To take advantage of this benefit, VAC members will need to obtain an annual doctor's prescription to avail of the massage therapy services under their healthcare plan. This streamlined process eliminates the need for veterans to pay out of pocket and then seek reimbursement, making it a more convenient and worry-free experience for them.

If you would like the clinic to direct bill, please ensure to provide the following information before you book your initial assessment as the provider will need to obtain authorization from the VAC Medical Authorization Centre.

VAC Health Insurance

Section B (Accident Benefits) is a mandatory insurance benefit in your motor vehicle insurance policy. You can receive these benefits if you were involved in a motor vehicle accident as a driver, passenger, or pedestrian, and the accident has left you with injuries that require treatment from the accident.

If you are seeking massage therapy or chiropractic care to assist with the injuries you sustained from a motor vehicle accident, please call us to book an appointment. Do not book online as we will need to obtain approval from your Section B Insurance adjuster before your initial visit.

Please ensure to provide the clinic with the following information when you call to book your appointment(s):

•  Adjuster’s name, email address, and phone number
•  Claim number
•  Date of the accident
•  Private health coverage information (if applicable)
•  Doctor's referral (required)

Please be advised that you will need a doctor's requisition following the motor vehicle accident for massage therapy and chiropractic care to be approved and financially covered by the Section B Insurance company.

By targeting the root causes of chronic musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, deep tissue massage helps to alleviate pain and tension. The focused pressure applied during the massage works to release knots, trigger points, and tightness in the muscles, providing relief from discomfort and promoting overall physical well-being.

Deep Tissue Massage

Sports massage is a specialized technique tailored to focus on area-specific rehabilitation. This brief but effective treatment is performed with the client’s clothes on, and it is advised to wear loose-fitting and comfortable clothing. The session involves joint mobilizations, integrated stretching techniques, and basic lymphatic drainage techniques to provide consistency in training as well as prevent injury.

Seated Massage

Abdominal massage, also known as stomach massage, is a gentle and noninvasive therapeutic technique that has the potential to induce relaxation and promote healing in certain individuals. 

It is commonly utilized to address a diverse range of health concerns, such as digestion issues, constipation, and bloating. However, it is crucial to consult with your healthcare provider before undergoing an abdominal massage, especially if you are pregnant or have any existing health conditions.

Abdominal Massage

Breast/Chest massage is a therapeutic technique that focuses on improving circulation, reducing pain, and loosening scar tissue in the breast tissues. Through gentle techniques like effleurage and lymphatic drainage, breast/chest massage can stimulate blood flow, promote lymphatic drainage, and alleviate congestion. These benefits can contribute to overall breast health and well-being.

The massage therapist can adjust the breast/chest massage to the client's comfort level, either by massaging the breast/chest tissue over the sheets or undraping and working on one breast at a time. It's important to note that massage of the areola and nipple is never included in the treatment. However, It is crucial to consult with your doctor before undergoing a breast massage, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions.

Breast/Chest Massage

TMJ massage is a specialized technique that targets the internal and external muscles of mastication (chewing muscles) to release tension and promote relaxation in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). This type of massage utilizes gentle fascial release techniques, jaw mobilizations, and active movement of the TMJ to help alleviate discomfort and restore the optimal functioning of the jaw.

TMJ massage focuses on addressing the muscular imbalances and tension in the jaw area to promote relaxation, improve jaw function, and relieve discomfort associated with TMJ disorders.

TMJ Massage

Prenatal massage is a specialized technique that is specifically designed to reduce stress on weight-bearing joints, promote blood and lymph circulation, and relax nervous tension in expectant mothers. These benefits contribute to better quality sleep, improved labour outcomes, and enhanced newborn health.

Prior to receiving the treatment, expectant mothers have two choices for positioning during their massage session. The first option is to lie on their side with strategically placed pillows that provide optimal support and comfort. The second option is to utilize our patented pregnancy cushion that is specifically designed to offer unparalleled support for pregnancy massage, effectively alleviating discomfort associated with breast sensitivity and lower back pain.

Prenatal massage provides a safe and effective way to support the unique needs of pregnant women, helping them to relax and rejuvenate during this special time.

Prenatal Massage

Infant massage is a gentle and rhythmic massage technique. It is a specialized form of touch therapy designed for infants aged 0-2 years. 

Infant massage aids in relaxation and can be particularly helpful in alleviating discomfort associated with common issues like colic, gas, or teething. It may also contribute to improved circulation, digestion, and overall muscle tone. 

The calming effects of massage often extend to sleep patterns, potentially assisting in the establishment of more regular and restful sleep for the infant.

FYI: Parents/guardians are invited to join the session. Your massage therapist will provide instructions on techniques that you can practice at home with your precious little one.

Note: It is recommended to opt for a 30-minute initial session. This will include a 15-minute interview/assessment/information session, followed by a 15 minute massage.

Infant Massage

Cupping Therapy is an alternative therapy technique that utilizes negative pressure to create a vacuum, which lifts the skin into plastic or silicone cups, thereby separating the fascia layers. Through this vacuum pressure, cupping therapy facilitates the breakdown of damaged tissue, promoting healing and accelerating the recovery process. 

Cupping therapy is highly effective in reducing pain/discomfort in the following conditions,  including, but not limited to:

When you arrive, your massage therapist will ask about your primary complaint and treatment goals before advising the best course of action. Our therapists use a variety of techniques, including hydrotherapy, cupping therapy, percussive therapy, scraping tools, and taping, to address your specific needs.

Following your session, your therapist will suggest homecare to help further your recovery and maintain your progress until your next appointment. We believe in providing effective treatment and homecare suggestions to ensure the best possible outcome for your recovery.

Clients will be treated on a bare table and remain dressed during the service. It is recommended that clients wear something stretchy and/or loose-fitting to ensure maximum comfort during the session.

Upon arriving to the clinic, a health history form will be provided to complete. This form is designed to assist your massage therapist in comprehending your individual needs. Following that, your therapist will conduct an assessment to create a customized treatment plan addressing the specific issues you wish to address.

Walk-In Massage Clinic

We understand that emergencies can happen, and we want to ensure that our clients receive the care they need when they need it. That's why we offer Emergency Care services for those who require immediate care and are unable to wait for the next available opening on our schedule. 

It is important to note that if Emergency Care services are required, the massage therapist may need to work outside of their availability, which will result in an additional fee. This fee is separate from your massage therapy treatment and WILL NOT BE COVERED by your insurance company.
